Summer time

The sun is shining - no time for sitting in front the computer! But, here's a quick update on Calla's latest feats: jumping up with two feet (after nearly a year of practicing!), sleeping in her "big bed" without falling out, scooting on her bike, swinging alone on the big kid swings, and expressing elaborate multi-sentence thoughts (complete with properly conjugated verbs, oh my!).

She is also very excited about the arrival of her baby brother in February - we are trying to keep her open to the idea that the baby may be a sister, but she is not really entertaining that possibility! So far, she is a very thoughtful big sister, telling us that we'll need to get the baby brother his own bunny and his own blue blankie for sleeping. And she keeps warning us that when the baby brother comes out of Mummy's tummy, he is going to cry - and we'll need to make him feel better. What a sweetie! (Can't wait to see what she thinks and says when the baby actually arrives!)
