Family Week

Apparently the University calls it "Reading Week", but around here it's been known as Family Week - either way, it's been great having Yanik home all week and we tried to make the most of it.
We took Calla swimming for the first time today. The kiddie pool wasn't open, so we went in the big pool, which is a little cooler - turns out Calla's extra insulation comes in handy! She really liked being in the water and did lots of kicking and splashing and laughing. Plus, it really tired her out and she slept for two hours when we got home and is now in the middle of a marathon afternoon nap...(we'll go swimming again soon...).


We also went the Aquarium for a look at the Jelly fish, baby belugas, sea otters, and all the other cool animals. It was our second time, and also a popular outing. Calla mostly notices those animals that move a lot so some of the exhibits will be better appreciated when she's older!
